Aavelaiva

Akvarellitekniikkaharjoitus Aavelaiva-elokuvasta. Koitin saada valkoisen mekon pinnan uskottavaksi ja alavalon toimimaan ja onnistuin osittain. Tytöllä on todella mielenkiintoiset kasvot koska niissä on aivan valtavat erot esim. poskipäiden ja leuan leveydessä - tuli ehkä silti hieman mentyä yli.

Osallistuin tällä myös Illustration Fridayn aiheeseen "Extremes".

Watercolour excercise from the film Ghost Ship. I tried to make the white dress and the bottom lighting believable and I think I succeeded for the most part. The girl has a very interesting face - for example there are huge differences in the width of her cheeks and chin - which I might have overemphasised a bit.

This is also my submission for Illustration Friday's "Extremes".

Keijujen hääpari - kun tein tämän kuvan sarjiksen ensimmäiseen versioon, se oli täydellinen murheenkryyni. Tein sen kolmeen kertaan ja aina huonommin. Nyt olen siihen vihdoin melko tyytyväinen - ja ensimmäisellä yrityksellä!

The fairy wedding couple - when I drew this in the first B&W version of the comic 5 years ago, it was a total nightmare. I redid it twice over and every time it got worse. Now I'm fairly satisfied - and I got it on the first try!
